Acorn 23 - The Sculpture has been created by Yab Yey Yan Communications in partnership with Bunsen Heavy Industries.
The sculpture features a precise reproduction of the original acorn collected in Birmingham, England on the 7th of August 2022.
Acorn 23 - The Sculpture is an oak block measuring 50mm x 50mm x 50mm and an accompanying acorn cast in either bronze or gold. The acorn rests in a rounded opening on the top of the block painted with Donkerrood from Acrylics Rietveld Academy. The base of the block has an inset metal plate bearing the maker’s mark.
The casting, under the supervision of Bunsen Heavy Industries, was done by Cubra Castings in West Bromwich, with the assistance of Casting Services Engineering of Leicester.
